  • Qatar will be participating in the World Cup for the first time having qualified as hosts.
  • The Qatar squad is managed by a Spaniard coach who was appointed on July 3, 2017, after managing the U19, U20, and U23.
  • Qatar won the 17th edition of the 2019 AFC Cup finals which was held in the United Arab Emirates.
