 Early Life

Greenwood was born in Bradford in October 1, 2001 and when he was six years, he joined Manchester United development school that is located in Halifax. It was here that Greenwood learnt football coming through the ranks at the clubs youth system representing the under 18, under 21 and under 23 before a breakthrough to the senior team in 2019-20 season.

Manchester United

The right winger has played across all levels in Manchester United beginning with the under 18 where he represented the club in the under 18 Premier League during the 2017-18 season when he made 18 appearances and scored 16 goals and assisted in 4 other goals. The following season of 2018-19 was busy one for Greenwood has he represented all the Manchester United teams in the same season.

First, he represented the under 18 team in the under 18 Premier League making 13 appearances and scored 15 goal and registered four assist. Secondly he played for the under 19 in the UEFA Youth League, with five games he scored five goals. Again he scored in his single game for the under 21 in the Football League Trophy before joining the under 23.

Further, Greenwood continued to impress with the under 23 and truly more goal continued to be scored by him in the Premier League 2 Division 2 where he was involved in five goal in six game scoring thrice and assisting twice. Finally, he concluded the season with three Premier League appearances for the senior team.

Following his good performance Jose Mourinho in December 2018 included greenwood in the Champions League squad. 2020-21 season began with the winger changing his shirt number from 26 to 11 on September 4, 2020. He came on as a substitute during their UEFA Nations League crash with Iceland on September 5, 2020 in a game England won 1-0.

Following his failure to observe COVID-19 rules on quarantine alongside Phil Foden, in Iceland, they were withdrawn from the England squad. Gareth South Gate once again excluded Greenwood from the World Cup Qualifying squad stating that he felt it was not the right time for the player to make progress.
