Professional Career

Jeremy Doku is a footballer who plays his club football in England at Manchester City and his National team is Belgium. The youngster who is compared to his countryman Eden Hazard was born in Borgerhout, Belgium on May 27, 2002, just four days before the World Cup.

He began his football career at Olympic Deurne in 2007 where he was until 2009 when he joined Beerschot and after three years, he joined Anderlecht youths in 2012 at the age of 10 years where he established himself to an extent he represented the senior team.

Aged 16 years, he debuted on November 25, 2018, in a 4-2 defeat by Sint Truiden in the first tier of the Belgium League-Jupiter Pro. He scored his first league goal and an assist on December 1, 2019, against KV Oostende, however, they lost the game 3-2.  In his 37 appearances for the club, he registered 7 assists and scored six goals across all competitions.

For 26 million pounds, Stade Rennais signed Doku on a five years deal on October 5, 2020. He made his debut against Dijon in a 1-1 on October 16, 2020, and scored his first Ligue 1 goal against Marseille on December 16, 2020. In his first season, he made 37 appearances and scored two goals.

In the UEFA EURO 2020, he played one group stage game against Finland and started in the 2-1 quarterfinals defeat by Italy.
