Professional Career

Arsenal

Rowe joined Arsenal academy when he was ten years old in 2010. He first represented the club at the U18 level making 15 appearances during the 201-17 season in which he scored six goals in the Premier League U18 and in the 2017-18 season, he scored seven goals in 12 appearances three in the Premier League and four in the FA Youth Cup.

He was then included in the under 23 team and played one PL2 game in the 2016-17 season on September 19, 2016, in a 5-0 defeat by Everton U23. In the next season, he featured in 10 games and scored once against Sunderland on January 28, 2018.

2018-19 season he played four Pl games, scored a brace against Manchester City in 6-5 defeat on August 11, 2018. In his single EFL Trophy appearance, Smith scored as Arsenal beat Coventry three goals. He missed five games one with a bruised rib and four with a groin strain.

2019-20, Smith had only seven appearances, scored one goal in PL2 in a 2-1 win over Brighton U23, he missed the 292 draw with Liverpool due to head injury. 2020-21 he played one EFL Trophy game and three PL2 games, in which he scored three goals after missing four opening games with a shoulder injury. His goals were a brace against Blackburn and one against Everton.

Smith joined the Arsenal senior team in July 2018 at the age of 17 years. During his first season, he played two games in EFL Cup and scored against Blackpool in a 2-1 win in the fourth round. He missed the quarterfinals 2-0 defeat by Tottenham Hotspurs due to groin strain.

Rowe committed his future with Arsenal signing a contract on July 31. 2018. He made his Europa League debut on September 20, 2018 group E in a 4-2 win over Vorskla Poltava at home. In his second game, he scored as Arsenal won 3-0 over Qarabag. He scored in the second-leg win over Vorskla Poltava but missed the final group game with a groin strain.

In the 2019-20 season, he played six games across all competitions but failed to score in any. Rowe had four goals in the 2020-21 season in 43 appearances across all competitions. One of his goals was in the FA Cup 2-0 win over Newcastle, the other in Europa League in a 4-1 win over Rapid Vienna, and two in the Premier League in his 20 appearances netting against West Brom and Chelsea respectively. RB Leipzig

In the 2018-19 season, Arsenal loaned out Smith Rowe to Leipzig on a season-long loan deal. However, he was injured when he joined the club. He was out with groin strain and hamstring injuries respectively missing the first nine Bundesliga games.

He made his debut against Wolfsburg on April 13, 2019, in a 2-0 win at home playing only one minute before he was withdrawn. He missed two other games with an adductor problem. He played one minute against Bayern Munich and 26 minutes against Werder Bremen in 2-1 loss to play a total of just 28 minutes in the entire season.

Huddersfield Town

On his second loan spell during the 2019-2020 season, Rowe joined Huddersfield Town on January 10, 2020. He debuted at home against Brentford in a goalless draw on January 18, 2020. He scored the first goal for the club on February 1, 2020, in a 3-2 loss at Fulham in a game he also registered an assist. He also scored a crucial goal that saw the club avoid relegation when he found the net in a 2-1 win. He made 19 Championship appearances.

England
