Aleksandar Mitrovic is a striker who plays his club football at the Championship for Fulham. At the international level, he represents his country Serbia. He was born in Smederevo, Serbia on September 16, 1994. The striker began his football career at Partizan Youths in 2005.
At Partizan is where his career has its genesis after joining the youth level. He was loaned to Teleoptik where he scored 7 goals in 25 appearances. On his return to Partizan, he scored in his first game.
He signed a four-year contract in June 2012 and made his debut against Valletta in the Champions League Qualifier. The strike was named among the top 10 talented players under the age of 19 by UEFA reporters. In 28 appearances, he scored 13 goals.
After finishing as the third-best player in the Superliga and selection to the team of the season, Anderlecht signed him for a club record of 5 million euros.
On his debut against Zulte Waregem, he provided two assists and went on to score 16 goals to assist his club win the league. One of the greatest moments at the club is when he took to the goalpost after keeper Silvio Proto was sent off.
In the 2014-15 season, he finished as the Pro League Top Scorer with 20 goals and helped his club reach the Belgian Cup Final but they lost to Club Brugge. Mitrovic made a total of 69 appearances for Anderlecht and scored 36 goals before joining Newcastle.
